DATE: Georgian, c.1780

A cool antique seal fob pendant set with a gorgeous amethyst base, intaglio carved with a dove with olive branch. In the Biblical story, Noah sends Doves to search for land as he was floating in the ocean, in his ark. When the doves came back they brought an olive twig in their beak. This twig was a symbol of dry land. Since then white doves with twigs in their beaks have become a symbol of peace.

It's crafted in 15k gold throughout with a highly ornate body and dates from the Georgian period, circa 1780.
