Blue John stone is a rare, semi-precious mineral fluorite, found only at one location in the world, Treak Cliff Cavern, at the Western end of Hope Valley, near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.

Blue Goldstone is a manmade stone, made up of quartz, sand glass and is infused with copper particles. Blue Goldstone is recognised for its beautiful sparkling shimmer and deep blue colour. This stone is thought to be a protective stone, bringing good luck and increasing spiritual awareness. Blue Goldstone is associated with the throat chakra.
