Vintage 1940s brooch featuring a dancing ballerina set in sterling silver. This elegant dancer has a number of hallmarks indicating the piece was 1948 in Birmingham, England.

The brooch was made by D H Phillips Ltd from Holborn in London, England. A series of ballerina brooches retailed by D H Phillips of London were made by the silversmith Frederick Massingham of Augusta Street & Northampton Street, Birmingham.
